Accor and MasterCard create Strategic Alliance

On February 9, Gilles Pélisson and Serge Ragozin signed a historic agreement with Robert W. Selander, President and Chief Executive Officer of MasterCard Worldwide, and Javier Perez, President of MasterCard Europe.

The partnership between the two companies has led to the creation of PrePay Solutions, the European leader in prepaid programmes for companies and public institutions. For Gilles Pélisson, the agreement-the first of its kind in Europe-represents a decisive new phase in Accor Services' development which opens the door to a market with huge potential for Accor Services.

"Thanks to this unique agreement with one of the best-known global brands, we've made further progress in the shift toward electronic transactions," he said.

Settling on Melrose Piazza

Accor Services will be making Melrose Piazza home from the 1st of April 2009. Located within the already esteemed Melrose Arch precinct, the new developments ranges across "Playspace"; "Workspace" and "Homespace".

"Offices on the Piazza" consists of seven separate highly individualised, triple A-grade office buildings, which are located at the northern end of the current Melrose Arch development.

dhk { } thinkspace are the interior designers that are responsible for transforming the 3rd floor of 20 Melrose Piazza into an environment that communicates the character of Accor Services. Tim Prins, project manager, says, "The design was meant to communicate ACCOR's persona, contained not only within their corporate identity, but within their professionalism and experience, and without being pretentious. Dictated by function, each space creates its own direction which engages each individual mentally."
